Is White Belt enough to lead a project?
No. White Belt is an awareness-level course. To lead a DMAIC project, you'll need at least a Green Belt, which covers the statistical and project-leadership tools White Belt only introduces.
Can I skip White Belt and go straight to Green Belt?
Yes, White Belt has no prerequisites and isn't a gate to higher belts. Many professionals go directly to Yellow or Green Belt if they already know they'll be running projects.
